I Moved The PostgreSQL Folder, How Do I Make PT3 Recognise?

Postby AcesOnFire » Fri Apr 11, 2008 10:59 am

Basically, I installed a new drive and moved the PostgreSQL folder, how do I let PT3 know I have moved the database?

Uninstall PostgreSQL following the directions in this thread.

Your data will be preserved. DO NOT manually delete the PostgreSQL folder after uninstall or you will delete your preserved data.

Then download and manually install PostgreSQL to your new location. www.postgresql.org

So I decompress the .Tar file with Gzip and all I get is a larger .tar file. What the hell?

Download the .zip file from the PostgreSQL website. Typically tar gzip is for Linux although some Windows archiver programs will untar ungzip it for you.

If your program ungzipped it, it should be able to untar as well...
