Data Mining FTP

Postby TheTilter » Fri Oct 03, 2008 6:48 am

I am using PTO 1.13.02

I decided to datamine the FTP Games, but none fo the .tmp files are being loaded?

I haven't datamined in a while, but I remember it working on PTv2 for HE.

Has FTP made a change (as I still see the .tmp files being saved), or is this a missing feature in PTO? Or am I not setting it up properly?

Thanks

This feature has always been in PTO as well. Make sure the hand history folder you have set on the Full Tilt auto-import window is set to the root hand history folder and not to the hand history/<yourname> folder.

Are you sure FTP is saving the hands to the hand history folder?

Mike, can you explain this statement to me please? I'm trying to get observed FT hands into PTO for the 1st time. All my hand histories are set to go to handhistory/myname. That's the folder that FT sends the files to, and the folder that PT gets the hand histories from. I've never had a problem importing hands that I play, but the observed hands...tmp files?...don't get processed by PT.

FWIW, just last night I converted my databases to postgre, and DID change the "observed hands" settings to import to the postgre database. Additionally, the postgre database Is my default.

thanks in advance.

EDIT. Disregard. I am awesome. I had the "do not import observed..." box checked as well. It seems kinda weird that both the other guy and me would have that box checked as well. I don't think it was checked yesterday. It's possible I accidentally clicked it but not very likely. Does that box default to "do not import observed" being selected? If not, is it known to self-select? kinda like Menudo? :)

How about dataming Party? I'm just trying it now, and it doesn't seem to be writing observed hand histories to my machine. I'm sure this has been brought up b4, so if you could just send me the link to the appropriate thread, that'd be great.

Thanks again.

The default is to have the FTP checkbox unchecked, meaning it was set up to get observed hands from the start.

How about dataming Party? ...

To be honest I don't know if Party allows this, but see this FPHG tool. I think that is what people use for observed Party hands:
